bitweaver is not properly set up

Posted:04 Jun 2008 (14:17 UTC)
I unzipped bitweaver R2 to the server (Apache) and pointed my
browser to /install/install.php & I am getting an error that I need to change
the temp dir permissions which I did (along with other dirs) and yet
I am still getting the error. I though that it may be a symbolic link problem
so I edited the httpd.conf file, but still the same error.

Any ideas? I can't even install the package :-(

When I unzip the R2 file I get the directory structure <server root="">/bitweaver/kernel/... there's a /bitweaver/temp/ directory also. If you have a <server root="">/temp directory it might be that you're changing permissions on the wrong temp directory...</server></server>

What operating system are you running Apache on?

- if Windows - check the Effective Permissions on the temp directory for the account that the Apache service runs under

- if Linux - do you have SELinux running on your installation?
