bitcommerce- http 500 cannot display page error

I installed bitweaver and bitcommerce with no errors and a completed successfully error. everything is working with bitweaver and bitweaver admin, however, when I click on the link to bitcommerce admin I receive a http500 cannot display page error.

Directory permissions? htaccess settings?

Any one have any suggestions?
