Pretty URL for boards not working

The boards are not working with the pretty urls turned on keep getting a 404 error, looked at the htaccess file and all is well was working well on a different server and now on other server it is not working...any pointers ?

I'm a newby to BW. I was struggling with pretty URLs as well, but now it seems everything is working fine (BW Version 2.8.1)

Have you tried setting the RewriteBase to /boards/ ?
I needed to set this in all packages with pretty URLs.
