{quote format_guid="bbcode" comment_id="4747" user="ATorres617"}I would like to help with promoting bitweaver as I am able. I tried a few different CMS's - Xaraya, Drupal, Joomla, EzPublish, and Typo3 - to name a few of the more popular ones and based on my experience - bitweaver has better out of the box configuration/functionality, more flexibility due to the design and standards used, a better user interface, more professional default templates, and (for a beta release) - impressive stability. I am planning to use bitweaver in a web project because of this. It seems a target market has to be the hosting companies - especially the ones that offer other open source CMS's - like SiteGround, Open Source Hosting, 1&1, etc. These hosting companies offer Fantastico installs that allow any users to easily install and test out a given CMS. These hosting companies should have a link to the demo on bitweaver.org as well for their users to test bitweaver before installing. Additionally two other places: Presentations at upcoming Open Source/CMS conferences (there are a few) and viral marketing through websites that web developers/administrators use for information (craigslist/slashdot, etc.). Presentations at upcoming CMS conferences could yield news and media profiles and articles which would be very good for promoting bitweaver. The promotion packages would have to be targeted to each type of user/audience. Of course, a press release for each of the next bitweaver releases would be desirable (with a "sites powered by" section). For the CMS conferences - we should have one or two of the core team attend and present - and you can do a funding/donation drive on the site, for example. I, for one, would contribute to such an effort. The promotion I mention above is targeted to types of users but not necessarily by the type of web service (to use web 2.0 lingo). For example, I can see that bitweaver can be adopted for knowledge management services within any kind of organization, in education for online collaboration and "e-learning" or long distance training, etc. The second part of this promotion effort could target users by type of web service - like knowledge management/groupware and education. These are just some thoughts that I have beyond listings in opensourcecms.com listing and the open source matrix project. ATorres617{/quote}
