{quote format_guid="bbcode" comment_id="5401" user="wascallywabbit"}My setup uses versions all newer than you describe (all were installed manually): - Machine: Win2K +SP4 + (various other security patches) - Apache: 2.0.47 (Win32) - MySQL: 4.1.12 - PHP 5.0.4 (+pecl 5.0.4) The versions are all chosen to match the public-facing Linux boxes that this stuff will eventually have to run on so switching to older versions (esp. Apache) is not possible. Note that the bitweaver installer doesn't [b:5c4b5848f8]cause[/b:5c4b5848f8] any problems per-se; it just seems unable to locate the MySql installation so it cannot complete. The apache,mysql combination works fine (including a running Tomcat installation) so I don't believe its a WAMP-install issue-- ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and ((bitweaver and TikiWiki)) BRANCH-1.9 runs like a charm. Also the mysql lib/bin are in the system's path so the installer should be able to locate the libs it needs. I'd volunteer to install-run-test bitweaver on this combination; but I need it to install first ;-) One (admittedly nebulous) idea I had was to examine the local Norton-controlled firewall-- perhaps that's causing the issues with the mysql sniffing that the installer is trying to perform. I've not had the time to investigate further... I've also done the mandatory permissions checking for any oversights there but everything is as it should be. I have configured my php setup to use the newer mysqli instead of mysql -- could this be the issue?! I [b:5c4b5848f8]did[/b:5c4b5848f8] have to manually fix tikiwiki BRANCH-1.9 to include a setup file for mysqli (I just copied the mysql file). The mysqli extension is the recommended extension when using php5 with mysql 4.1.x. Will continue to try things as time permits...{/quote}
