{quote format_guid="bbcode" comment_id="5404" user="wascallywabbit"}Success (sortof). First the process: 1. Installed clyde_fresh from bitweaver.org and had same result-- the installer was unable to identify the local mysql installation. 2. Changed my php5 configuration to use the mysql extension instead of mysqli to see if the php->mysql link was the problem -- SUCCESS! The installation populated the local db fine, and I'm wandering through my bitweaver installation even as I type this... 8) My happiness is tempered however because the installer does not (yet) work with mysqli which is documented as the preferred way to connect from php5 to mysql4.1 and above (something to do with new authentication schemes blah-blah-blah). I imagine (ok, I really hope) the bitweaver code just needs extending to handle whatever get_server_info() is returning from the mysqli extension (possibly unique to win32 variants). To the developers reading this post please see docs at [url]http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/php.html[/url]. Also see the docs for the new get_server_version (new since 4.1). Well hope this helps (xing). -WascallyWabbit{/quote}
