Permissions Issues

(:confused:) Hi I'm having real problems with tying down permissions for a user group I've vreated. All I want them to be able to do is edit/add content to a page or book, pdf & print it and that's all. I definatly don't want them to be able to lock pages or control permissions for the page. However all I seem to be able to do is switch ALL the editing functions on or off. HOW do I go about it???
