Fatal error: Call to a member function StartTrans()

Hi,

when running the install, I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function StartTrans() on a non-object in /www/desenv/BJDWiki/kernel/BitDbAdodb.php on line 583

I'm trying to install on Oracle. Anyone seem this?

I have the same error. And I am trying to install it on Oracle as well.

Did you handle the error?

It seems that you didn't fill the "Database name" field in installer. If you're using Oracle Express Edition then your db name is probably "XE". You can find your proper name in a file named "tsnames.ora". Look up for this file in your system.

Any particular reason for using an expensive option?
All of the free databases are a lot easier to work with than Oracle ;)
Although when you hit the limits on the free version of Oracle, at least you can transfer then ...
