How do I start using fckeditor?

Posted: 08 Feb 2008 [12:24 UTC],
I've just installed bitweaver with the fckeditor but I don't know how to start using it. I don't see any options on the wiki page. When I run bit_setup_inc.php I get the error 'Fatal error: Call to a member function registerPackage() on a non-object'.

Does anyone know what to do?

Running bit_setup_inc.php is not right. Normally, you're using FCKEditor as soon as you edit a wiki page. Is Javascript enabled? Also, logged in as administrator, you shoud see Administration > FCKEditor > FCKEditor Settings in the menu. There are some options for you to set.

I seem to have a problem with my shared hosting (hostgator.com) not showing FCKEditor. Anyone has an idea how to fix this?

Go to Administration>Liberty>Plugins>Format and enable the following:
HTML = Active
TikiWiki Syntax = Default, Active
Check "Allow HTML" and Click "Save Plugin Settings"
Configure FCKEditor settings to your liking.
That did it for me (I have Hostgator)! Should work for you too.

BTW - if you are going to allow HTML we highly recommend you use HTMLPurifier

Search bitweaver
