as you might have noticed, we have rounded corners on our article images and we have a slight drop shadow. to achieve this in GIMP, follow these steps:

using Script-fu extensions

open the image you want to use as article image and execute the following steps:
scale the image down to 150px width


in the layers dialogue right click on any layer and select


make sure the background colour in your color selectors is white and apply the rounded edges
