Feature Ideas:

General Features:

• Group Home — Lists Content added to the group as well as comments on the group. Perhaps a per content type drill down. So groups galleries, groups blogs etc...
• Group Listing and Search — Ability to list and search groups as well as browse by category.
• Comments -> Email — Ability to send comments on the group via Email (opt in)
• Email -> Comments — Ability to send email to comments on the group — Should manage threading properly if possible
• Track recently visited groups for easy back navigation.
• Display Group Created Content as within Group e.g. website.com/groups/cool_group/blogs/post_id=2 (challenge - how can this work with things like wiki links between group content)
• Files Manager (attachments)

Configuration Features:

• Per Group Theme — So that each group can look how it wants.
• Per Group Layout — each group can customize module assignment
• Per Group Language — So that each group can be displayed in the language used by the group.
• Categorizable groups — We should be able to stick groups into pigeonholes.

Admin Features:

• User Created Groups — Ability for users with the right permission to create a new group.
  Public Groups — Anybody Can Subscribe and post
  Announce Only — Anybody can read but you must be subscribed to post
  Private Groups — Invitation Required to read and post
• Per Content Item Permissions - private and public content within public content groups - so that access can be limited on per content item basis
• View Invitations — User has to be able to view groups they have been invited to and accept or reject.
• Message Moderation — Including ability to delegate moderation ability to a subset of group members.
• Content Type Selection — select which content types group members can create/use in their group
• Group Manager Email Blasts — manager can email members
• List Group Option — admin can control if group is listed
• View Member Control — members only can view members/ anyone can view members
• Various Admin Control for Content authoring, messaging, adding files, inviting, message moderation (see google groups Access options)
