Site base url confusion?
Site base url confusion?
Posted:31 Mar 2009 (04:02 UTC)Hi, I am trying to install bitweaver on a shared host and I am confused exactly what I am supposed to put when asked this question (site base url). I have uploaded all of the files to a folder on my host that is designated as the home directory for my domain, therefore bitweaver is installed in the root folder.
So, should I be inputting "http: //mydomain. com/" or "/mydomain. com/" (I added spaces to bypass no links)
I have had issues all night trying to get this going? Can someone help?
Thanks in advance!()

Re: Site base url confusion?
Posted:31 Mar 2009 (05:28 UTC)I also run bitweaver on a shared host.
On a shared-host, the server root (or base url), as far as bitweaver is concerned, is just a forward-slash '/'.
It's up to the server to route
That directory path to your files (on the host computer) is configured in the httpd.conf file, to which shared-host users don't have access.
Keep on pluggin'. We'll get there!</server>
