{quote format_guid="bbcode" comment_id="4779" user="helge_karl"}[quote:bf5f4fef08="arnaudherve"]After trying out several systems, my choice is on [url]http://extcal.sourceforge.net/[/url] in its version 2.[/quote:bf5f4fef08] I agree that it is the nicest calendar app. But since it is lacking support for other dbms's than mysql is it likely that it will not be an bitweaver package. But it is worth to keep an eye with it since it may implement support for more dbms's in the future. I wish a solution that is storing the data in the database. From there the events should be viewable as rss feads, calendar views in the bitweaver web UI, or as published ical files that you can subscribe to. A posibility to import ical (ics) files into the db so that you can set up the events on your local computer and upload the stuff in bitweaver would be nice but maybe hard to function in an intuitive matter. Maybe a ics parser would be enough so that ics files could be added to storage just like images in fisheye for example. I don't know enough about this but it seams that the bitweaver programmers already are working on the hard coding that can make this come through one day. I also miss a "custom front page" package so that it is possible to make a more first view friendly page that can display some blogging like last content, news listings and upcoming events in small sections with a nice ui wrapped arround it. :){/quote}
