{quote format_guid="bbcode" comment_id="5570" user="stephenw"}Hi, I've been using IE to set up a Wiki book in Jack's [url]http://www.carrscorner.com/bitweaver/wiki/[/url] website. The problem that I am having it that whenever I go into the wiki book edit mode, it literally takes from 53 to 65 seconds each time to redraw the screen (I have 256K DSL) The Wiki Book has about 53 blank pages in it. If I just go to Wiki books, and click on a book it only takes 2 seconds to show the page. However, if I click on "edit book", it takes 53 to 65 seconds to show the page. Whenever I click any Wiki "edit book" button, whether I'm at the TOC, or in the editable TOC, As soon as I click on any of the edit book buttons, the bottom the window (everything below the header) turns white, although the website header continues to show. I see the colored progress ribbon go across it's path in about 7 seconds, then stays there for the rest of the time. I don't see anything else happening until at about 53 to 65 seconds, the content of the bottom part of the window is back. Every time I want to move one of the pages in the TOC, it takes about a minute for each time I press the button. So, if I want to move it 10 spaces up or down, that takes 10 minutes. What could the problem be, and how can we fix it? (We still have the menu problem mentioned in [url]http://www.bitweaver.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1046[/url] (the seventh message down). Could that problem somehow be related? *[i:566266b1eb][color=green:566266b1eb]See below[/color:566266b1eb][/i:566266b1eb] [i:566266b1eb]After I wrote all this out, I decided to try it out in Mozilla. In Mozilla there doesn't seem to be this problem. It only takes perhaps 6 to 8 seconds to redraw the screen, instead of the 53 - 65 seconds. I think that, for the time being at least, I'll use Mozilla to work on his website.[/i:566266b1eb] [color=green:566266b1eb]* As I think about this, I'm wondering if, during the fatal error in Bitweaver (described here: [url]http://www.bitweaver.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1046[/url]), something wasn't damaged and still isn't quite working right. I say this because I can use IE on this website to edit, and on my other Bitweaver website to edit, and don't have a problem with either of these. I'm wondering, would reinstalling Bitweaver on [url]http://www.carrscorner.com/bitweaver/wiki/[/url] website help anything?? Or is there something else that could be done?[/color:566266b1eb] Thanks, Stephen{/quote}
