{quote format_guid="bbcode" comment_id="7957" user="Anssi"}Coming from Finland, where grammar is somewhat more complicated than english one, I'd like to open a discussion about problems in translating software to different languages. I have been previously using a wide variety of software, which I usually prefer using in english. That is after all a "native" language of all things computer-related. Since I'm trying to make a living selling websites to my customers who are Finnish, and who want to do things in their native language, I have had to face the question of internationalization. That is a big problem. Most GNU/GPL software out there is designed from the ground up to be localized, but the approach is always very "english". There is practically no way to make a clean translation to my native language in many cases. The reason I'm starting this thread is I am intrested to hear if this is the case in other languages as well? If so, what would be needed to make the translation process easier and, in some cases, doable?{/quote}
