install.php shows blank screen

Install.php don't display anything - just zero-byte page.
In my server process list I can see an apache thread consuming >100Mb of memory and >60% of processor time, so it may be some kind of loop in the script.
Other scripts (including tikiwiki) works well on this host.

What can I do?

After some days of digging, I've found a solution.

Installation starts after open_basedir statement was removed from php configuration file.
Don't know why, but it works.

Sounds like your shared host has some strange settings regarding open_basedir in their php.ini file.
