How do i set the number of lines to be shown in a blog?

Hi

I have configured the list of blogs as homepage, but i do not want all the content of each entry in the homepage, i just want a few lines, like 10 and the tipical "read more" link to the whole entry.

You don't state what version you are using so I am going to talk about the CVS version.

Blog posts are not split by lines they are split either at the ...split... in the text or at a character count which is managed in the blogs admin section. There is also a new 2 text area interface to blogs which can be used to avoid having to insert the ...split... in the text. The split will be done between the two text areas.
