AMFPHP and Flash Remoting with bitweaver

I have created a package that has as it's main content a flash application using remoting to access the bitweaver database. I am using a completely separate database connection and would like to integrate into bitweaver more tightly. I would also like to use the same bitweaver sessions to control access. I can't find evidence anywhere on the bitweaver site that anyone else has tried to do this. Am I missing something? I would appreciate any help on high level overview of the best way to attack this. I started by including the top level bit_setup_include but the main problem is that it is trying to create another session, but one already exists. Many thanks in advance.
