themes not working

I have installed bitweaver 2 and the sample site did not have any formatting. I tried changing themes but to no avail. As soon as I would hit a fresh link after changing and accepting the theme or would logout of admin to view the site, the site would go back to its unformatted look. What is going wrong here?
