::{img src="/storage/images/standing-tall.jpg"}:: ::Release 1.1::
To celebrate the resurrection of my highly dysfunctional, yet greatly appreciated [/photos/image/28/2|laptop] we have put up a new release. Tons of bugs have been squashed and various improvements have been committed to our favourite project. We have turned ((FisheyePackage|fisheye)) into a complete file manager and we have also included the useful ((CalendarPackage|calendar)) in this release, which allows you to easily track any changes that occur on your site. Additionally, we have enhanced our security measures to make bitweaver more secure than ever before!
Enough rambling, [http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=141358&release_id=336854|grab bitweaver here]!
If you are upgrading from a previous version, please view our ((bitweaverUpgrade|upgrade notes)).

! Internationalization
{img float=left src=/languages/icons/pkg_languages.png} We have recently completely [/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1180|revamped] all the internationalisation code and added some ''unique'' features including an easy to use interface for translating strings and collecting untranslated strings into the language database. This means that modifications and additions to the code can easily be updated by __anyone__ right here on our site and then exported and imported on your own server. This benefits all users and makes translations a community driven project without the need for geeky third party applications or having to dig around crazy translation files.
If you are interested in helping us __translate bitweaver into any language__, please [/forums/viewforum.php?f=14|join the conversation] and we will give you translator permissions.

! Application Framework
{img src=/storage/users/2/2/images/125/bitweaver_power.png link=/wiki/bitweaverArchitecture alt=architecture align=right} Interested in developing your PHP application around the bitweaver Framework? We have a [http://www.bitweaver.org/blogs/12|Developers FAQ] which will quickly guide you on the most common aspects of integration. There are other pages such as UpgradingToLiberty and PortingTikiWikiPackages, which you may find useful, along with our API documentation (insert link here).

! TikiPro has become bitweaver
TikiPro was renamed to bitweaver on the 6th of June 2005. This was a crucial date since it was also the first release we are happy with. our hard labour has paid off and we have decided to take over the web by surprise - a blitz, if you will.

! License
bitweaver is ((License|licensed)) under the GNU LGPL. Some packages are GPL.
